Arrive in Casablanca and begin your journey to Morocco’s capital, Rabat. Visit the Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Royal Palace, the King’s official residence and a symbol of modern Morocco. Explore the Oudaya Kasbah, a peaceful district with Andalusian gardens and ocean views, and see the striking Hassan Tower, an unfinished 12th-century minaret showcasing exquisite Mauresque design.
Continue north to Chefchaouen, the charming “Blue Pearl” nestled between the Rif Mountains, with its white-and-indigo buildings, ornate fountains, and red-tiled rooftops.
Overnight in Chefchaouen.
Spend the day exploring Chefchaouen’s enchanting lanes and serene atmosphere. Stroll through narrow, winding streets lined with vibrant blue houses, artisan shops, and lively cafés. Visit the medina, the kasbah, and the main square where locals gather beneath the mountain peaks.
Overnight in Chefchaouen.
Depart for Volubilis, Morocco’s best-preserved Roman site and a UNESCO World Heritage treasure. Explore the basilica, triumphal arch, and mosaic-covered villas that bring ancient history to life. Continue to the Imperial City of Meknes to see the majestic Bab Mansour gate, the Royal Stables, and the Old Medina. Arrive in Fes by evening.
Overnight in Fes.
Discover Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and intellectual heart. Step into its labyrinthine medina — one of the world’s oldest living cities — filled with artisans, tanneries, and spice-scented souks. Visit landmarks including the Royal Palace, Blue Gate, Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, Al Quaraouiyine University, and the famed tanneries. Admire views from Borj Sud and explore workshops showcasing zellige tiles, carpets, and pottery.

Journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland,” and the cedar forests of Azrou, home to Barbary monkeys. Stop in Midelt for lunch before descending through the lush Ziz Valley, lined with palm groves and date farms. Arrive in Merzouga by late afternoon and ride camels across the dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset. Spend the night in a luxury desert camp beneath a canopy of stars.
Overnight in the Sahara Desert (Merzouga).
After breakfast, drive to Todra Gorge, often referred to as the "Grand Canyon of the Sahara," with its impressive cliffs rising over 300 meters. Take a short walk through the cliffs, offering an excellent hiking location due to the limestone stacks. Along the way, you'll see the dry, rocky Dades Valley, dotted with fig, olive, and date palm oases and traditional mud houses clinging to the hillsides. Continue to Skoura, a lush oasis surrounded by towering palm trees, and explore the renowned Kasbah Amridil, depicted on Moroccan currency. Overnight at a Boutique Riad or Hotel in Skoura.
Head toward Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa,” where films like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia were shot. Visit the UNESCO-listed Ksar of Ait Benhaddou, a striking example of southern Moroccan architecture. Continue through the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass to reach the vibrant city of Marrakech.
Overnight in Marrakech.
Explore the highlights of Marrakech with your local guide. Visit the Bahia Palace, Majorelle Garden, and Ben Youssef Madrasa. Wander through the bustling souks filled with spices, textiles, and handicrafts, and experience the energy of Djemaa el-Fna Square with its performers, storytellers, and food stalls.
Overnight in Marrakech.
Drive west to the coastal city of Essaouira, a relaxed seaside escape on the Atlantic Ocean. Discover its UNESCO-listed medina with whitewashed houses and blue shutters, explore the harbor and Skala du Port, and visit local art galleries and thuya wood workshops. Visit its atmospheric citadel, UNESCO-listed for its blend of European and Moroccan architecture, and explore the hauntingly beautiful underground cistern. Continue to Casablanca for your final evening — perhaps enjoy a farewell dinner at the iconic Rick’s Café.
